MEET DR. CLINT WIRE
BACKGROUND
Dr. Wire grew up in a small town near Olympia, Washington, and has always had a passion for the outdoors. As a child, he spent most of his free time riding motorcycles, snow skiing, and participating in team sports. He and his wife, Valerie, are delighted to call Spokane home. They can often be found hiking with their dog Yogi, playing pickleball, golfing, snow skiing, or enjoying time on the lake with friends.
EDUCATION
Dr. Wire received his dental degree from the University of Utah, graduating first in his class and being inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. He then pursued a Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Iowa, where he served as the Chief Resident of the Orthodontic program. After graduation, he practiced for several years in Fort Collins, Colorado, before returning home to the Inland Northwest. He is an active member of the Spokane Dental Society and regularly seeks opportunities to advance his dental education.

MEET THE TEAMTraditional Braces
Metal braces are an orthodontic appliance that corrects teeth and jaw misalignments, including overbite, underbite, crossbite, open bite, spaces between teeth, crookedness, and overcrowding. Brackets made of stainless steel are bonded to the front of each tooth using a dental adhesive. An archwire anchors the brackets and serves as the mechanism Dr. Wire tightens in order to put pressure on the teeth to shift them into correct alignment.

There’s never been a better time to straighten your teeth with the most advanced clear aligner in the world. Our office is proud to be a certified provider of Invisalign Spokane, which gives you a clear, convenient, and comfortable option to achieve the smile you’ve always wanted.
Phase One Treatment
The goal of Phase One treatment is to help the jaw develop in a way that will accommodate all of the permanent teeth and improve the way the upper and lower jaws fit together. Children often exhibit early signs of jaw problems as they grow and develop. An upper jaw that is growing too much or is too narrow can be recognized at an early age. If children over the age of six are found to have this jaw discrepancy, they are candidates for early orthodontic treatment. Also, if children around the age of eight have crowded front teeth, early treatment can prevent the need to extract permanent teeth later.
